Lined Chub (Hybopsis lineapunctata)

Description:

The Lined Chub is found in the Tallapoosa and Coosa river systems of the Mobile Basin in Alabama, Georgia, and Tennessee. They live over fine substrate in slow water of pools and edges of streams. As the common name suggests, Lined Chubs have dark stripe along their snout and sides. Like most other members of the genus Hybopsis, Lined Chubs have a barbel with taste buds at the corner of their mouth.
