Blotched Chub (Erimystax insignis)

The Blotched Chub is only found in the Cumberland and Tennessee river drainages. They are found in riffles and runs of large streams and rivers over rock and gravel bottoms. As the common name suggests, Blotched Chubs have elongated blotches along the side. This fish has a long, slender body to help maintain its position in swift water.
