Corrugated Darter (Etheostoma basilare)

The Corrugated Darter is found in the Caney Fork System of the Cumberland River Drainage in central Tennessee. They are found in stony, slab-rock pools in creeks to medium rivers. As with other members of the Barcheek Darter group, Corrugated Darters have a light iridescent bar on the cheek. Corrugated Darters have prominent vertical bars on the side, which gives the appearance of ripples in cardboard.
