Greenfin Darter (Etheostoma chlorobranchium)

The Greenfin Darter is found in the upper Tennessee River Drainage from Georgia to Virginia. They are found in rocky riffles and runs of creeks to medium rivers. As the common name suggests, breeding males have a bright green coloration in most of their fins. Unlike many other members of the subgenus Nothonotus, Greenfin Darters have a relatively blunt snout.
