Striated Darter (Etheostoma striatulum)

The Striated Darter is restricted to the Duck River System of the Tennessee River Drainage in central Tennessee. They are found in stony, slab-rock pools in creeks to medium rivers. As with other members of the Barcheek Darter group, Striated Darters have a light iridescent bar on their cheek. The common name of Striated Darter refers to the rows of spots along their side, which give a striated appearance.
