Undescribed Ihiyo Darter (Etheostoma sp. cf. spectabile A)

The undescribed Ihiyo Darter is found in tributaries to the middle Cumberland River in Tennessee. This species is thought to be distinct from the Orangethroat Darter (E. spectabile) based on morphology. They live in shallow riffles of smaller streams and rivers. As in other members of the Orangethroat Darter species complex, males have a hump on their nape, a blue anal fin, and bright coloration.
