The Freshwater Goby is found along the Atlantic and Gulf coasts of the Americas from North Carolina to Texas and south to Brazil. As the common name implies, they reside in freshwater and estuarine habitats. While all gobies resemble darters, they can be distinguished by having fused pelvic fins.
