The Green Goby is found along the Gulf and Atlantic coasts from Texas to Maryland, including the Mobile Basin. This species occupies a wide range of salinities from fresh water to salt water. As the common name suggests, Green Gobies have green coloration on their head and side. While all gobies resemble darters, they can be distinguished by having fused pelvic fins.
