The Marsh Killifish is found along the Gulf and Atlantic coasts of Alabama and Florida, including the Mobile Basin. As the common name suggests, Marsh Killifish are found in both brackish and fresh water, in marshes, bayous, and tidal streams. They have brown spots and bars along their body. As with all topminnows, they live at the top of the water column.
