Pugnose Minnow
Opsopoeodus emiliae
About This Fish

The Pugnose Minnow is found in Gulf and Atlantic coast drainages from Texas to South Carolina, including the Mobile Basin, as well as the Mississippi River north to Minnesota, including the Tennessee and lower Cumberland river drainages. They live over soft substrate in a wide variety of slow water habitats. As the common name suggests, Pugnose Minnows have a small snout and mouth.
