Sharpfin Chubsucker
Erimyzon tenuis
About This Fish

The Sharpfin Chubsucker is found in Coastal Plain streams from Louisiana to Florida. They are found in backwater and undercut banks in creeks and small rivers. The genus, Erimyzon, is different from other members of the Catostomidae family because they lack a lateral line. Breeding males get large, horny tubercles on their snout.
