The Silverjaw Minnow is widespread and common in several drainages from Missouri to Pennsylvania, including the Cumberland River in Kentucky and Tennessee. They are found in a riffles and runs of medium to large streams. As the common name suggests, Silverjaw Minnows have white or silver chambers on their cheeks and jaws.
