Westrim Darter
Etheostoma occidentale
About This Fish

As the common name suggests, the Westrim Darter is restricted to the Cumberland River Drainage on the west side of the Highland Rim physiographic province. They live in rocky pools with bedrock substrate. They have a bright red dot in the first membrane of their first dorsal fin, and like many members of the Snubnose Darter group, their snouts are very blunt.
