About This Fish

The White Bass is widespread across central North America in Gulf Coast drainages from Texas to Florida, including the Mobile Basin, as well as the Mississippi River, Great Lakes-St. Lawrence, and Red River drainages from Louisiana to Manitoba. They live in deep pools of rivers, lakes, and reservoirs. As the common name suggests, White Basses have white coloration with brown stripes along their side.
