About This Fish

The Brook Silverside has a widespread distribution across much of eastern North America from Florida to Canada. They are found near the surface in a wide variety of habitats in slow-moving water. As the common name suggests, Brook Silversides have silvery sides and are translucent. Their snout is shaped like a beak, and their two dorsal fins are spaced far apart on their back.
